Quartz & Battery Visit
A focused appointment for everyday quartz watches — battery replacement, light contact cleaning, gasket inspection, and a functional check of hands and date wheel. Watches return with a short written note of findings.

Modern Mechanical Tune-Up
Suited to mechanical pieces under fifteen years old that have been losing time or sitting idle. Covers hand cleaning, lubrication, timing regulation across positions, and pressure testing where possible. A before-and-after report accompanies the watch.

Antique Pocket Watch Care
Patient work for inherited and early twentieth-century pocket watches. Diagnostic disassembly, cleaning, mainspring and balance inspection, careful sourcing of period-appropriate spares. No cosmetic changes without your agreement. Written updates at each stage.

Questions we often hear
A few things people usually want to know before bringing a watch in.
How long does a typical service take?
Quartz and battery work is usually completed within a few working days. Modern mechanical tune-ups generally take one to two weeks depending on the condition found. Antique pocket watch restorations are longer — four to eight weeks is common — because sourcing period spares and working carefully through older movements cannot be hurried.
Do I need an appointment, or can I just walk in?
Walk-ins are welcome during opening hours, though for antique or particularly delicate pieces it is worth sending a message first so we can set aside the right amount of time. For straightforward quartz work or battery replacement there is no need to arrange anything in advance.
What happens if unexpected work is needed once you open the watch?
We stop and let you know. Nothing beyond the agreed scope is done without a further conversation. You will receive a written description of what was found and what the proposed next step would involve, including any change in cost, before work continues.
Are the stated prices inclusive of all parts?
The prices listed cover the standard scope of each service. Replacement cells for quartz watches are included. For mechanical and antique work, the cost of specialist spares or mainsprings beyond routine lubricants and seals would be discussed separately — these are not common but can arise with older pieces.
Do you work on watches from any brand?
We work across brands for quartz and general mechanical servicing. For very recent models under active manufacturer warranty, returning to an authorised service centre may be the more practical choice, and we will say so honestly if that is the case for your piece.
Can I bring a watch I received as a gift that I know nothing about?
Absolutely. Identifying what you have is part of the initial assessment. We will examine the piece, describe what we find, and let you know what kind of attention it would benefit from. There is no obligation beyond the assessment conversation.
